ABOUT KATE

A Warm, Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach to Child Assessment

Kate completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Clinical Psychology at Curtin University. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of settings including schools, the disability sector, and private practice.

Kate brings a warm, welcoming, and engaging approach to her work. She prioritises creating a safe, respectful, and trusting space where young people and families feel heard and supported. Kate understands that many children and adolescents experience challenges not because of "who they are", but because the world isn't always designed with different neurotypes in mind.

Her work is grounded in a collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and person-centred framework. She supports young people to better understand their unique brain style, strengths, needs, and support preferences — drawing on contemporary, evidence-informed practice.

Through her work in the disability sector, Kate has developed extensive experience supporting autistic and ADHD children and adolescents, as well as young people with a wide range of neurodivergent profiles and learning differences.
